Shoesday

I am ready for fall. I love autumn leaves, cooler temperatures, sweaters, and most especially, boots.

The problem – I have Calves of Power ™, and cannot wear  most boots. Even the extended calf size for enormous-calved ladies are a stretch (ha!). But I desperately want to find boots that are comfortable and cute. I especially want a pair of these:

Ariat Women’s Heritage Western X Toe Boot

Anyone know where I could find something like this in a larger than 13″ calf circumference? Do I just need to find an outfitters and get custom boots? (Yes, probably, but wow! expensive.)

What’s your favorite thing about autumn?

  1. Favorite thing(s) about autumn:

    4) the smell of decay;
    3) being able to wear collared shirts and sweater vests without melting;
    2) delicious autumnal foods – roasts, stews, cakes, etc.

    I can’t help with your boot woes. Maybe you could visit a western store the next time you are in SD and try some on? As for Fall. My favorite things about Fall are my wedding anniversary, apples, pumpkins/squash and this Fall – having little boy.

  3. I have the opposite problem. Skinny calves. Boots gape and it’s not cute.
